well thats what i'm thinking about putting in mine but people have been telling me that jl is overated. is this true? remember others say jl is the best.
i know alot about car audio and jLs r the best. they last longer and they can handle a shit load of bass. they sound great u are going to pay a little more but thats like anything esle.
JL audio is the way to go, best ever without a doubt... I had a system in my 95 Mark 8 back in High School, and now I have a Full system in my Lincoln LS... personally I'm not a fan of music in mustangs because I'd rather listen to my exhaust (cobra R style w/ no radio), but anything else then definately add some JL audio!
I have all JL shit except head unit. Two W712's, 5.25" & 6.5" ZR speakers with a 500/1 and 100/1 amp. I never actually had both subs running together but I have one now in my other car and it pounds louder than any single sub ive ever heard and will probably only run one in my mustang this year. I would agree that JL is the best I know of, but the one W712 with a 1000/1 amp got blown out in a few months in my car. It should be under warranty still and is at JL now getting fixed. I did slightly abuse it but its 750rms , 1500 max. and i blew it out with a 1000 watt amp.
hey guys my cousin owns a high end audio shop i know alot about jl.. jl is the latest technology cones wich hold the low's tighter so you have less replay off the cone aka quicker hits of bass... and also stang well for midd level base not only true lows .. you can make any car pound with low's and mids if you tune the amp right.. jl definatly expensive but the best way to go after .. good luck
