this thing has been an ongoing project since june...starting from the begging i bought it off Mike (89Rustang) for $500 as a half ass 4cyl conversion (not done by mike, done by owner b4 him) it didnt run cuz i belive Mike snagged the MSD ignition for his GT and it had been sitting for an untold amount of time, it had a 302, a T5 and a 8.8 stuffed with 3.55 gears in it stock except an intake and edelCROCK carb...I had plans just to do it up quick and drive it all summer, well...one thing lead to another and its been a full on project car...as of rigght now it is mechanicly sound and road ready..The car came with a few cool things already on it, polyeurethane engine and tranny mounts, bilstein rear shocks, a 1 wire alternator, underdrive pulleys, a pro-5.0 shifter, mac headers, h-pipe, muffler and tails a fluidyne radiator (that leaked so i sold it) and a few other things im shure im forgettin....anyways i got it to start up and run, after i knew it ran, i left the motor alone for a while and went through the body, i have at least 120hrs into by know, replaced the hood, front bumper, brand new fenders, welded some spots on the door....basicly body is straight and ready for paint. Mechanicly, everything has been gone over and nothing over looked, it has all new brake lines, fuel lines, fuel system, brakes, i put a set of rebuilt gt40p head son it, b303 cam, new timing chain, all new gaskets, edelrbcok intake, a/c delete, and neccesary gauges, i have had 4diffrnt sets of rims on it so far and finaly came down to ponies, it will be gettin the 5lug treatment in the summer with bullits. the susp is the next thig getitn done, i have everryuthing just waitin to put it all in, thats just a brief description thus far. FOR THE RECORD...its not gettin a sbc motor any time soon...but the idea is still in my head! 1st couple pics are the 1st day i got it home from mikes parents house in Burlingtion, Ma...i have pics of all the body work i just gotta get a scanner, btw sry bout my spelling im tired.
yes ik...the carbs gotta go...i didnt use AN line and fittings, i used steel brake line throughout the car and less than 3 feet of FI hose, ik my my powerbooster had brake fluid on it and its rusty, ik its not pretty....yet, but its mechanicaly perfect! so here ya go a> otobucket">

that rubber line is only goes to behind the tank...then turns into steel line all the way up to the engine bay...and yes its bolted to the gas tank cover...whats wrong that...and ive seen countless cars with it bolted to the cover

Mount pump anywhere that is metal, minimum use braided line where you are using rubber. Just because a bunch of cars have it like that doesn't mean it's correct/safe.

what he said, btw from the back its looks like a wannabe sumped tank!
ya im not using steel braided line, to much money, its fuel injection hose, i will consider mounting it somewhere more solid i checked it today and it is kinda flimsy. possibly on the bummper support bonz suggested,
