I've noticed for a while that when my car is cold and I go to drive it hesitates, Almost like it wants to die and keeps coming back. I was told to clean my throttle body which I did. That was a few days ago. It still hesitates. If anyone has any ideas on what else it could be please let me know. I only have a few mods. JLT CAI, Bama Tune, SLP LM's. I've tried retuning it back to stock and swapping the cai and no difference.
I actually came across that when I was researching this. I saw a few pics of it but for some reason I cant figure out where it is. Maybe it's time for glasses.
Lol it should b located on ur throttlebody it's only held on with 2 bolts and a plug and to clean it out it's only 2 screws to take it apart its pretty simple lol

i have the same mods as you and no rough idle so i wouldnt blame them unless you recentley oiled the JLT and have way to much oil on it and is just covering the MAF
anyone know how often youre supposed to clean and oil the filter? every 5k or so?

I didn't think it was the intake since its so new and I had this problem before I put it in. I was hoping it was the throttle body but I eliminated that. I'll check the iac next and hope its that. I also wonder if it could be the gas. I generally use shell unless I can't find one.
my guess is the injectors are clogged. run a heavy dose of injector cleaner. the ethanol is junk after sitting for that long without and stabilizer. adding gas doesnt correct the breakdown of whats in the tank already. when i store mine i stablize the whole tank at about half tank and run it at least until the gas light comes on or as low as i can get it knowing i can get to the gas pump in the spring... i only run it low in the car because its a sealed fuel system... on a boat, i would will the tank to the top and stabilize so that less air (and less moisture) can get in the fuel.
also, (i hear) starting every couple of weeks doesnt do you any good because the oil pressure is so low and there is no lubrication. better to trickle charge the battery and just let it sit until spring

The car has a little over 28,000 miles on it. The dealer said they changed them when I bought it. Everything under the hood looked new as far as plugs and wires and that stuff goes.
if your car is sitting for the winter youre better off just leaving it alone and not starting it, there is no need to start a car every week, that just leads to more problems condensations in the exhaust etc. I would bet money on it thats why youre idle is messed up. The best thing to do when a car sits for the winter is manual turn the motor by the crank
what octane fuel do you run cheap gas sucks and can clogg up alot of things...put 93 and some bottles of octane boost and drive it hard might clear it up
So a couple of people have said to clean my iac. I have tried a few times to find a pic on the internet of what it looks like. All I find is up to 2004 cars. I've also tried searching a few auto parts stores and have come up with nothing. So here comes another question, does my car have one or is it called something else?
