When the tech's at NED check for ur clutch saftey switch, how do they do it? do they just have u take ur foot off the clutch and turn the key, if it doesnt try to start it passes??? let me know i have never been to the track and am trying to get everything legit so i dont have any problems the 1st day at the track this year

thought so...i got the battery hold down, no major fluid leaks, legit tires and shit, what else do i need to go over before i go to the track, ill flip my cookie if i go there and they shut me down for tech....what about lift off hoods, any speical shit i shuld know, i got 4 pins in the thing, i will be running drag radials, do i need a driveshaft saftey loop or is that only for actuly drag slicks....any BIG things they look for let me know guys,what do they check under the hoodd except ur battery hold down? the ned website doesnt really go into detail on tech inspection so any info is helpful thanks

Make sure the brake pedal is hard and doesn't go to the floor. If planning on running in the 13's you'll need a helmut and a safety loop. Same rules as everything else listed above are good for the 12's. If running aftermarket thick flanged rims and drag radials you will need open ended lugnuts and long wheel studs. If running factory lugnuts on factory wheels with drag radials you will probably be ok. Also pop on a extra carb return spring as they usually want two springs in the event one fails. They actually busted my balls for not having a clamp on my radiator overflow tube that runs from the radiator filler neck to the factory catch can on the fan shroud. The factory never put a clamp in that position.

can i just wear a dirt bike helmet?? i have DOT approved dirt bike helmet, my brakes are good, definalty gotta get a driveshaft loop anyway just to be safe, probly gona run low 13s. hopeing for high 12's tho, ill throw a hose clamp on the overflow hose, but ur right the factory never has but w/e, thanks for the info, anyone else get any shit for dumb stuff like that??
