GT 40 heads, the iron ones from an explorer with an intake, cam, throttle body, etc. Its all readily available from explorer and mounatineer 5.0 motors. Not the best stuff out there, but better than stock. You could buy it all for well under $1000 and make around 300 rwhp. Doing the install yourself saves you money too. If you want to spend a little more you could get some aluminum heads, but they usually cost at least a few hundred used.

I don't know how short your budget is but .... 373 gears and frame connectors are a good start . Especialy the frame connectors . After that all the basic bolt on's like under drives, shorty headers , cold air kit , etc. Any intake other than stock will help too . I'm sure you can find a used one for short money .
I just looked at it today and would have to say that .... umm... no ofense but , .. That thing is a real p.o.s. It has floor board rot , strut tower rot , and the radiator support is a little twisted . Plus it looked like a dog took a bite out of the drivers seat . I'd say for the money you would have to invest to bring it up to any kind of a reasonable condition .... you could just use that money to buy a better car . Shit !! .... I'd buy a 4 banger and convert it before I would ever consider buying that thing .. DON'T DO IT !!!!

Everyone selling a car says is has no rust. If its got rotted floors and banged up radiator support then stay far away from the car. Fox bodies are a dime a dozen and easy to find. Let someone else be the sucker who buys a car like what mineral described.
