Well I tried it again but no luck getting into 13s. I'm still trying to get the launch down but it takes more than a few times when you're trying to learn on new tires with the correct air pressure ect... They are still streets though but they hooked up ok. 60' 2.028 330 5.925 1\8 9.139 MPH 77.47 1000 11.932 1\4 14.279 MPH 97.56
I also had a passenger with me which sucked because he got kicked out of my friends car for going faster than 13.9. So I'm hoping next time I'll hit the 13s by myself.
It was cool to meet a couple of the forum guys down there as well.
I only met 2. Andy was suppose to but had too much to do at home which is understandable. I don't know if anyone else was there earlier than me cause I got there kinda late trying to finish up some stuff around the house.
i meant how manny people were at ned all together? was it a busy night how manny passed did u make.... i like it when u can get 15-20 passes in thats the shit
It was def a good night to make some runs. Wasn't too busy. I only got 3 in because I got there at 730 and while getting in line they take there hard earned break which drives me fucking nuts. Then I took a break when I found some forum guys.
early in the night was good you could hot lap for a while. i only got in about 7runs tho cuz i didnt want to beat her too hard. plus it took some time swapping my tires to yolas car so he could get a few passes on the dragradials. stupid scissor jacks...
best of the night 60' 1.995 330 5.874 1\8 9.056 MPH 77.64 1000 11.805 1\4 14.124 MPH 97.45
conditions were good at 6pm cuz it was still warm but as it got later it started gettin cold and traction was an issue
I think I'm going to go one more time this year and to make sure Im by myself this time. Just trying to think of what mod I can do that's cheap as I'm getting broke from my addition to house.
Anyone have any ideas for a cheap mod that'll be worth it. Everything is over $500. I already have an electric fan from a chevy celebrity lol.
do u have gears? 373s,410s? this could be a great upgrade if u dont already cam upgrade, intake manifold 300 bucks used ones on cl just a few options use cl get good used parts theres to much out there to buy new thats why fox bodys are nice

dont waste your time or money on the dry kit, with a dry kit its too easy to lean out and go BOOM. if you grab a wet kit you can safely run a 150 shot if not a 200...just make sure you have traction first or its pointless. I'd look for some cheap drag radials, you saw what was happening to me at the track that night...maybe some control arms, or the drag bag its like 40$ you put it in your spring and pump it up spreads the weight to the other tire on the launch so they are on a more even keel
what exactly do you have done to your car? how about some free hp? whats your timing at? a few degrees there will help you also i'm assuming your car is fuel inj. have you tried taking out your pass. side head light and open your air box, unless you already have a cold air intake with the filter in ther fender.the more air you get to the intake the better. this will give you a ram air effect and might give you a tenth and maybe a mph or two. its worked for me in the past. you could also try running a short belt and bypass the ps. its a bitch to turn but thats also some free hp. also some dr's or et streets, and launch that thing. GOOD LUCK!

I only have a few bolt ons. Mainly exhaust and 390 gears. I'd def go with drag radials but don't have the funds as of now. My timing is already set at 14*. I think if i"m running by myself next time and get 1.9 60 I should be in the 13.9 range. But at this time of year the track might be too cold for traction though.

yeah if you only have street tires, theres only so much you can do. go around the water and back up to it, just do a little burnout just to clean off the tires and get them warm, then practice riding the clutch out of the hole. and def go down alone, try the headlight trick too, every little bit helps. keep us posted, good luck.
