paint the valve covers orange also it may break it up more

brake clean will wipe that overspray off

honestly masking takes a couple minutes and pays off in the end

not trying to give u crap i like ur car.. i got a bigass orange truck too lol

not to get back to the intake thing again...... lol.... but seriously steve, your losing with that intake... Take the intake off save it for when you get boost and then put it back on... get a gt40 for now you say you dont have money they are around for 50-75 bucks.. i think mike heath had one not sure if he still does.... but i had a car with alot more mods than yours with a downs intake and it def lacked the low end torgue.... and where are you from? im pretty sure your not gonna be opening the car up to feel the pull at the top end on back roads... i saw that you agreed with flamingpony but his motor is built alot different than yours so obv hes gonna get performance with that intake on it... if you only have a cam id go with a different intake... argue about it all you want but your the one thats losing out.. seriously....
